During installation, the Oracle Clusterware software itself will reside on either local disk file systems or a cluster file system that supports the installation of the Oracle software shared between the nodes, such as OCFS version 2 or NFS. Irrespective of the method selected for the Clusterware software installation, during the process, it creates both the OCR and the CSS voting disk. These require available disk space of 100MB and 20MB, respectively, and can be created on a supported cluster file system, NFS, or raw devices.

Note We did not install the Oracle driver because our Oracle Universal Installer (OUI), which is required to install the Oracle-supplied ODBC driver) complained about version problems. This issue seems to occur when you are using a newer version of the OUI than the ODBC driver supports.
